Women’s Nutrition Coaching

We develop health plans that reflect your dietary

Hormonal Balance

Levels vary during each phase of a woman’s 30-day hormone cycle, affecting energy, cravings, & nutrient requirements. Women benefit from eating early morning meals to minimize Cortisol levels, a stress hormone that interferes with weight loss.

Calorie Needs

Typically, women have lower muscle mass and higher body fat percentages than men, which means their daily calorie goal will be lower. Women benefit from a focus on nutrient-dense foods that provide energy without excessive calories.

Food Mindset

Women face unique challenges with societal pressure and expectations regarding diet & weight management. We emphasize the importance of eating enough to fuel the body and help nurture a positive relationship with food and body image.

Bone Health

Since women are at a higher risk of osteoporosis, we include precise Calcium and Vitamin D recommendations to support bone density. This is particularly critical for post-menopausal women and clients with Thyroid conditions.

Men’s Nutrition Coaching

Health plans for men are influenced by the unique
requirements of male physiology.

Hormone Maintenance

Men will naturally increase testosterone when they reduce their stress, improve their sleep, and limit highly processed foods. Men can also increase testosterone by eating whole foods, limiting electronics use, and limiting viewing of adult material.

Intake Levels

Protein intake is important for nutrition and fitness. 1g of protein per pound of your weight goal is ideal for daily consumption. Concentrate on your protein intake to support muscle growth.

Heart Health

Diets that prioritize heart health with significant levels of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and antioxidants are particularly beneficial for men because they face a higher risk of cardiovascular disease at an earlier age than women.

Women’s Personal Training & Nutrition Case Study: Courtney

Courtney wanted to take permanent action with losing weight and getting healthy. She had tried many different programs in the past, and even though they all brought her some measure of success, she always gained the weight back.

Courtney also suffers from irregular periods caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a hormone condition that affects fertility. One of the causes of PCOS is unbalanced insulin levels; Courtney’s doctor advised her that losing weight could help her balance insulin levels and conceive a baby.

Since she wanted a sustainable way to lose weight, she sought the help of Baltazar Villanueva. She needed a coach to keep her on track with her nutrition, and help her be more confident at the gym.

Right off the bat, she knew Baltazar was a great fit for her. He got her on a plan to eat healthier, and in fact, eating more than she was used to. One of the key concepts he taught her was that you don’t need to starve yourself to lose weight because you need to eat to restart your metabolism. He gave her healthy recipes that fit her lifestyle, and options to replace unhealthy cravings.

At the gym, she found that Baltazar was exactly what she needed to rebuild her confidence. He gave her a lot of positive feedback and encouragement, reminding her that she’s stronger than she thinks she is. And for those exercises she absolutely couldn’t do? Baltazar modified them, so they were within Courtney’s abilities.

Now, she’s not intimidated by the gym, and knows she can do the exercises Baltazar taught her all on her own.

After working with Baltazar for the past 6 months, she’s had great results. Within a month, she was able to fit into pants she previously couldn’t. She’s lost 4 inches on her waist, and has gone from a size 22 to an 18.

Most notable of all, she’s now having a period every 28 days – a major first step on the road to conceiving a baby.
