Courtney wanted to take permanent action with losing weight and getting healthy. She had tried many different programs in the past, and even though they all brought her some measure of success, she always gained the weight back.

Courtney also suffers from irregular periods caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a hormone condition that affects fertility. One of the causes of PCOS is unbalanced insulin levels; Courtney’s doctor advised her that losing weight could help her balance insulin levels and conceive a baby.

One of the key concepts he taught her was that you don’t need to starve yourself to lose weight because you need to eat to restart your metabolism. He gave her healthy recipes that fit her lifestyle, and options to replace unhealthy cravings.
